Because of the Indie nature of this film, I wore many hats as their production designer. Everything from the set and wardrobe design to special effects makeup fell under my umbrella of duties. I was solely responsible for the sourcing, dressing, and styling of over 40 cast members, as well as for transforming a dilapidated and abandoned mansion into the 70’s retro ghostly-chic set where the bulk of the narrative unfolds. At the base of my design process are my moodboards. I design and iterate them working closely with the director and producers in order to finalize the looks and color palette before sourcing the first prop for the set. Strict adherence to these moodboards allows each set design and scene within to work beautifully with the next, creating a sea of color that blends back and forth bringing life and aesthetic pleasure to the narrative at play. Pictured below are the 3 different moodboards I created for this film prior to shooting paired beside their review boards (made post-shoot) filled with stills from the film. Side-by-side they stand as a great example of my attention to detailed execution throughout the project.
